Scholarship Fund at
AUB & UOB
- Integrity: The Scholarship Fund receives yearly the names of the selected candidates from the university, and the Administrative Committee in turn chooses from among them the names of the Beneficiaries to make sure they are fairly distributed among the various districts of the community.
- Fairness: The Fund does not take into consideration the financial need of the candidate, as long as his/her getting a passing average grade and above. The Committee accepts the judgment of the Financial Aid Office regarding the percentage of the tuition fees granted to the candidate and shares the university with 50% of it.
- Confidentiality: Personal information will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purpose of the Scholarship Fund.
- Respect: All participants involved in the scholarship process, including applicants, staff, and volunteers, should treat each other with respect and dignity.
- Transparency: The criteria and process for awarding scholarships will be transparent, ensuring that all stakeholders understand how decisions are made.
- Accountability: Those managing the Scholarship Fund must be accountable for their actions and decisions, maintaining a commitment to ethical practices.
- Community engagement: Encouraging scholarship recipients to engage with their communities and contribute positively to societal upliftment.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly reviewing and improving scholarship processes and criteria based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Ethical Fundraising: Funds raised for the scholarship will be managed responsibly, ensuring that all donations are used in alignment with the stated goals of the Scholarship Fund.
